The IT Systems Administrator's primary role is to maintain, upgrade and provide support for our client's software, hardware, and networks. The Systems Administrator is responsible for diagnosing and resolving problems quickly and will be available to respond to help desk requests after hours. This role adeptly addresses technical concerns and communicates solutions to end users who have varying degrees of technical knowledge. The IT Systems Administrator is also responsible for maintaining system infrastructure, including firewalls, testing computer equipment, backing up databases, installing and updating malware software, installing and rebuilding existing servers as well as other processes. This position serves in backup roles to others in the department as needed. Requirements include an Associate's degree (AA) and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a systems administrator or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols; the ability to respond to requests after hours; and possess expert knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities. Experience with VMware is a plus. System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network fields are also a plus. Apply today for an immediate interview if you qualify!
